Official State Opening of the 3rd Session of the 12th Parliament — 20 February 2026
On Friday, 20 February 2026, His Majesty King Mswati III formally presided over the Official State Opening of the 3rd Session of the 12th Parliament of the Kingdom of Eswatini. This ceremonial event, held in Lobamba, marks the commencement of parliamentary business for the year ahead and features the Speech from the Throne, in which His Majesty outlines the Government’s priorities and legislative agenda. The occasion brings together Members of Parliament, Cabinet Ministers, Traditional Leaders, Diplomatic Representatives, Business Leaders and members of the public in a display of constitutional tradition and national unity.
